In 2014, Nike officially declared March 26th as Air Max Day, and to celebrate, they re-released the iconic design with some modern updates. The Air Max Day 3.26 edition features the original Sail, University Red, and Natural Grey colorway, but with the addition of a yellow midsole and yellow details on the underside of the tongue. The date "3.26" is prominently displayed on the tongue, and the insoles boast Neon Nike logos. This release, complete with Air Max Day apparel and a social media campaign, blends the heritage of the Air Max 1 with fresh, celebratory touches.
