The upper uses light linen-colored mesh that feels airy and light. Wavy leather overlays in soft green and pale pink add support and give the shoe a retro feel. A silver-gray New Balance logo sits on the side, while the clear heel piece helps hold the foot in place.
The midsole has a mix of tan and dark rose shades. It uses soft cushioning for a more comfortable and springy feel with every step. The black rubber outsole adds grip and helps absorb impact, while the white pod details give it extra traction.
One of the best parts is the tongue tag, which takes inspiration from the lace detail on the original 991. This small touch adds a nice link to New Balance history.
