The upper is made with mesh, which is different from most Nike Air Dunk shoes. This gives it a soft, padded feel and adds to the thick style of the shoe. Leather layers and a Sail Swoosh sit on top of the mesh and add nice contrast through texture. Violet stitching on the lace cage and small purple details on the upper bring in color without making the shoe look too loud. The foam tongue also has purple touches.
